Visible vs Hidden Levels

Some organization levels can be hidden if you don’t use them:

Example: Simple Club League

Visible: Season, Club, Team, Location Hidden: Federation, Region, League, Division

Hidden levels still exist in the database but don’t appear in the UI.

Changing Visibility

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar
  2. Click Terminology in the settings menu
  3. Scroll down to the Hierarchy Configuration section
  4. Click the toggle next to each level to show or hide it
  5. Click Save Changes

Terminology Best Practices

  1. Be consistent: Use the same terms everywhere
  2. Match your community: Use terms your coaches and parents know
  3. Consider plural forms: Both singular and plural are configurable
  4. Document your choices: Help new admins understand your terminology
  5. Don’t over-customize: Too many unique terms can confuse users
